The European Pilot Line and one-stop-shop for the manufacturing of free-form micro-optics

The PHABULOuS Pilot Line is providing highly advanced & robust manufacturing technology for free-form micro-optical components. These components will be integrated into high added-value devices, spanning from micro displays for augmented reality and optical effects for luxury, to innovative systems for professional, automotive, and transportation lighting. The pilot line represents Europe’s leading Companies and Research & Technology Organizations that cover the full value chain to translate urgent and high-impact industrial needs into industrially relevant predictive software packages, manufacturing tools and processes, characterization methods for quality inspection and integration schemes, all necessary for the implementation of pre-commercial production runs. As the one-stop shop for the manufacturing of free-form micro-optics the pilot line offers accelerated innovation & production cycles from prototyping and piloting to large volume production for 3 UV-imprint replication technologies: wafer scale, R2P, R2R. PHABULOuS has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under the Grant Agreement nº 871710, in Public Private Partnership with Photonics 21 (www.photonics21.org).
